ABOUT MORTIS NOIR

It started with a feeling.

I've always been drawn to things that made me feel something.

Streetwear. Dark music. Underground clubs. Raves. Strange artwork. Brutalist architecture. Occult imagery. Places that felt completely removed from ordinary life.

Some of these things used to scare me when I was younger. In some ways, they still do.

But I love them.

There's something about being surrounded by darkness, unfamiliar sounds, strange imagery and people completely lost in the moment that makes me feel alive.

Over time, those things became more than just things I liked. They became part of the way I saw the world.

And I wanted to put that feeling somewhere.

That's where Mortis Noir came from.

I wanted to create clothing that carried something with it. Pieces that weren't simply made to look good, but had a feeling behind them. Something you could look at and find beautiful, strange, unsettling or intriguing - sometimes all at once.

The darker side of things naturally became our language.

Not because we believe everything has to be dark.

Not because darkness is somehow better.

It's simply what has always felt more interesting to us.

We started creating graphics, developing garments and putting together the world we had imagined. We cared about everything - the artwork, the fit, the weight, the details and how the finished piece felt as a whole.

And eventually, Mortis Noir became more than the idea of making clothes.

It became something we could share.

You don't have to listen to the same music we do.
You don't have to go to raves.
You don't have to understand every reference.
You don't even have to know why you're drawn to something.

If you see a piece and think “I fucking love this,” that's enough.

Because once a Mortis Noir piece becomes yours, it's no longer just ours.

Wear it your way. Take it somewhere we've never been. Give it your own meaning.

Maybe that's what we want Mortis Noir to be.

Something you can't completely explain.

Something you just feel.
